For Alexis, the healing arts have not only been a passion but a calling. From a very early age people came to Alexis for a listening ear. Understanding her capacity to help others, she began a career in the social service industry where she provided job training for adults with developmental disabilities. Later on, she assisted with running an employment training program for disenfranchised youth. Eventually, Alexis went on to earn a Master's Degree in school psychology which enabled her to work with toddlers, school aged children, and adults with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnosis.
Along her journey, Alexis always yearned to learn more about her African lineage. It was through this search for identity that she learned how to commune with her ancestors. The process was so uplifting and life changing that it led her to better her familial relationships and increase her spiritual awareness. In addition to the aforementioned, Alexis was spiritually guided to attend school for hypnotherapy. Through a series of dreams concerning her professional course in life, she was led to the Hypnosis Motivation Institute (an accredited college of hypnotherapy) where she graduated with a diploma in clinical hypnotherapy.
Thus far, Alexis believes that spirit has steered her in an amazingly exciting direction. In fact, her spiritual journey is held so close to her heart that she often states “I wouldn’t trade it in for the world. It’s wonderful how many lives I’ve touched with hypnotherapy, from the young to the old, everyone seems to benefit from this modality. I am genuinely able to help people which makes me feel great as a person and grateful to be of service!”
